Book… 1st Edition…
EDIT: Finished today! Must say, I REALLY like this piece. I painted the letters with acrylic black and white as you can see. I also tried Gamsol oil for the first time, which helped for a better impasto look IMHO.
As for why I did this, well, that’s easy! A lot of us can’t own the 1st ed of a great classic like this, so why not have a painting. Gonna do a Steinbeck next.
Been wanting to do a stand alone book pic, so… Here is a classic by Mr. Hemingway. Do enjoy. Should be done by tomorrow as I need some white paint for the bottom letters.
