Sara’s Burger…
Started on this today. It’s a 8×10 gourmet burger painting. This piece was a lot of fun, and only my second “food” related art project. ( cherry pie here: http://corygrahamart.com/2012/07/13/cherry-pie/ )
I’ve been wanting to work on more ‘food’ related pieces and while talking to my excellent friend, Sara (who is opening a burger joint), I began craving a good cheese-burger but also craving to paint a classic burger piece. Well, I’ve painted the burger, but still haven’t had one since our talk. McD’s may be calling tonight…
On a different note, I find it good to change things up, going back and forth between still life and people. I’ve neglected still life of late to focus more on people pieces as I still struggle with those. All in all, the burger piece was quite refreshing.
I’m feeling that it’s close to being done, but will let it dry and harden overnight before adding more. The bottom right ketchup may need some work…
