bold, simple, passionate
I had this image sketched out for several days now, but finally got around to painting. Although I like the composition, I had no idea what to do for colors other than the chair had to be a blue turquoise color.
Obviously, I could have played it safe by using flesh tones and yellows, but wanted to keep to a pink scheme as I think it worked out well with my Expressionistic Man Smoking piece. Since I have other nudes with just a white background, I kept this white as well, but with a gesso/paste mix. This piece and some of my other recent ones would make a good set.
Since I liked the composition so much, I’m thinking I’ll do another, but with different colors.
Examples if framed. Below are the other two I did last week. I think the three of them would get along just fine. Maybe I’ll call this “The Woman with No Face” series.
